Welcome to the
Centre for Animal Inclusive Safeguarding
The Centre for Animal-Inclusive Safeguarding works to ensure animals are recognised as victims in their own right, and explicitly included in safeguarding responses. Abuse rarely happens in isolation -harm to animals often occurs alongside harm to people. That’s why we promote a truly whole family and whole systems approach to preventing and responding to abuse. By including animals in risk assessments, safety planning, support services as well as early intervention and prevention we help protect everyone in the home - humans and animals alike.

We recognise that meaningful change requires collective effort. The Centre for Animal-Inclusive Safeguarding is a collaborative initiative, inviting professionals from all sectors to get involved and contribute to this vital work. Together, we can create a more inclusive and effective approach to safeguarding.
